PAUL GAUGUIN CRUISES

OVERVIEW

Paul Gauguin Cruises is named after the 19th century painter Paul Gauguin, who spent ten years living with and painting the people and nature of the Polynesia area. Purchased in 2019 by French luxury cruise operator Compagnie du Ponant, Paul Gauguin Cruises operates cruises with one luxury ship, the Paul Gauguin, to destinations in Tahiti, French Polynesia and the South Pacific.

Carrying just 330 guests and an international crew of 217, the m/s Paul Gauguin was designed specifically to glide in luxury through the shallow seas of the South Pacific. The ship delivers travelers to intimate ports inaccessible to larger cruise ships, while providing a luxurious travel experience. Guests will find newly-decorated spacious suites and staterooms, with more than 70% featuring private balconies. Amenities include an onboard watersports marina, three dining venues, an extensive spa, and five-star service. ‘Les Gauguin’ and ‘Les Gauguines’ are local Tahitians who serve as onboard hosts and hostesses, entertainers, and storytellers.

Paul Gauguin Cruises was created with the intent to provide enjoyable and meaningful travel experiences to a very special part of the planet. The cruise line is dedicated to minimizing its environmental footprint and supporting local communities, while maximizing guests’ experience of Polynesia's vivid, vibrant cultures, and stunning natural beauty.

DESTINATIONS VISITED

The ms Paul Gauguin explores Tahiti, French Polynesia and the South Pacific in-depth. Itineraries visit destinations including Tahiti, Fiji, Melanesia and Indonesia, plus smaller island groups including the Tuamotus, Marquesas, Cook islands, Society islands and Tonga.
