OVERVIEW
“It’s yachting, not cruising…enjoy the difference.” That’s the tagline for SeaDream Yacht Club, which promises a casual yachting experience that “exceeds guests’ expectations as they explore the world’s most amazing destinations.” SeaDream’s pair of mega-yachts are boutique ships that carry just 112 passengers each, with attentive service provided by a crew of 95.
SeaDream Yacht Club was founded in 2001 by Atle Brynestad, the Norwegian founder of Seabourn Cruise Line. Chic and modernized, SeaDream’s 56-stateroom twin yachts are known for their elegant informality, personal service, inclusive open bar and gratuities, ocean-view accommodations, luxury Thai-Certified spa, and world-class cuisine.
The two ships are equipped with a watersports marina that can be lowered for activities such as swimming, snorkelling, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing and waterskiing. Both ships are stocked with complimentary equipment for waterborne activities, including wave runners, glass-bottom kayaks, Laser sailboats, a banana boat, water skis, snorkeling gear and standup paddleboards. Mountain bikes are also available are for use ashore.
DESTINATIONS VISITED
From May through October, SeaDream I and SeaDream II sail the Mediterranean Sea. From November through April, the twin mega-yachts visit the turquoise waters of the Caribbean. In between, guests can travel on transatlantic voyages. Wine-themed cruises are popular in places like Spain, Italy, France and the Western Mediterranean. The small size of the yachts lets them visit small islands and ports in the Caribbean and beyond.
